Watering Pots
Can I overwater my potted plants?
Yes. The number one reason plants die (indoors or outdoors) is overwatering.
No, these people aren’t monsters. They are caring loving individuals who love their plants to death.
Once you have mastered the finger test, you’ll never over-water.
- Feel the top of the soil, if it’s dry, don’t water.
- Push your whole index finger (the finger next to the thumb) down into the soil (yup to where the finger meets the palm).
Dry at the fingertip: water immediately
Moist along the finger: wait a little longer before watering.
