First frost

No matter how you feel about the impending cold weather, there’s nothing as awe-inspiring as the morning light highlighting the frost on fall leaves.

The first frost is magical. It transforms the garden into a temporary fairyland. As morning progresses, the sun melts the frost away, leaving no trace of the ethereal landscape.

Thank goodness for digital cameras!

Thanks for your kind words, Valerie. Love taking frosty photos. Timing is everything, if you get up too late in the morning…it’s gone.
